Read It and Reap
With a diverse background as a Baptist Minister, as well as a 7th Degree
Black Belt and Motivational Speaker, Dr. Stan Harris, D.D.(Doctorate of
Divinity), is representative of what can be achieved through faith and
commitment. Whether it’s health, wealth, or spiritual well-being, Stan’s
timely advice can help you harvest the full benefits of your efforts by
understanding the motivation of your prospect, and how you can benefit them.
As an evangelist traveling across the U.S., if someone had came to me and
said I am with a company that will, after six months of good effort, let you
choose a $50,000 car and they will make the payments, I would have signed up
on the spot. That’s the beauty of the EcoQuest opportunity. It only takes
one or two of our many rewarding incentives to help someone who’s looking
for a better way. Some people ask what my secret is. I simply ask, “Would
you allow me to help you?”
I was first introduced to this opportunity in a roundabout way, discovering
it through my interest in health and nutrition.
I was on the road preaching 320 days a year, sometimes six times a day,
preaching and doing karate demonstrations in churches, averaging 3-4 hours
of sleep per night.
My wife always said I was going to kill myself, and then one day I collapsed
from exhaustion.
My body had completely shut down. At first I could not read, write, walk and
could barely talk. The doctors said I would not be able to continue my work.
That got my attention. I got on the “Hallelujah Diet”, exercising and
juicing. I lost 85 pounds and shaved 12 inches from my waistline. Realizing
the need for a healthy mind and body to aid a healthy spirit, I began to
incorporate a health seminar in my preaching.
It was about this time that I met a woman with cancer who had seen
traditional doctors and was looking for more help. I sent her to a
Naturopathic Doctor who, amongst other things, recommended Living Air. He
taught her about negative ions, benefits of an oxygen-rich environment, and
eating/living well. She modified her diet and changed her lifestyle and her
cancer was healed.
I was given one to use in my hotel room at a speaking engagement, and it was
the best nights sleep I have ever had. We would plug in Living Air at church
functions to take out the odors and smoke, and place them in the chapel
during a service. People would comment on how fresh the air seemed. And the
congregation seemed more alert. When I saw how well they worked I wanted
one, but had no interest in being a Dealer. I had water problems in my
basement, and when that machine took out all of the mildew odors I was
convinced. As I said, I had no interest in becoming a Dealer, but when
friends saw how well it worked for me, and folks at church asked what I was
doing for my health, they wanted one too.
(Here’s why you should never give up on a prospect that says no the first
time!) I looked into it, bought a Success Pack on a friend’s credit card (I
didn’t have the money, and offered up my RV, my car, anything, for
collateral. I didn’t know about the financing) and in three days they were
sold. I bought another Success Pack, and they were sold again. Every church
I went to I would plug them in, and at the end of the service they would
want one.
I had always preached against MLMs as companies that get rich off of the
losses of others. But here is a Christian-based company with a great
compensation program that strives to bring technology to the market that
helps people. I liked that! Besides, I was always preaching about the food
we eat, the water we drink, exercise, and the air. When I got to air though
I never had anything to say, other than “step outside and get a breath of
fresh aid.” I got some good laughs when I said that in Philadelphia, PA. Now
I have that missing piece of the puzzle. I talk to everyone I meet; first
about the Lord Jesus, and then about Living Air.
I had begun to build a business by accident, as some simply asked what I was
doing and thought it would be right for them, with others wanting to join
after trying the product. That’s when it hit me. This opportunity fit me
like a glove. I have a wife and four children, but was always on the road.
As an evangelist, I earned my living from the love offerings from churches I
spoke to. Now I have the chance to make a living helping people. I’ll preach
for a week for free, then take a week off. I have time to spend with my
family, and time to build my business.
As a business is built, having specific goals is very important. My goal is
to help people help themselves. Seemingly vague until it is broken down:
· By the end of next year, I’ll help 40 different Preachers, Ministers, and
School Teachers achieve financial independence so they can focus on their
mission, and not on how to put food on the table. I have two Evangelists and
one Pastor on the way to my goal.
· By the year 2002 I will be personally sponsoring, through our church, 100
Missionaries around the globe.
· I will see 50 black Managers in my downline.
I make the distinction of black Sales Managers simply for this reason. We
have a great company, great product, and great people. We also have 40
Million black folks out there representing 400 billion dollars in annual
income. Black Americans are ranked as one of the fastest growing group of
young entrepreneurs, and as I look around various meetings and conventions,
I see this as a market virtually untapped.
I had a woman from someone else’s downline call me ready to give up. Why?
Because she felt this opportunity wasn’t for Black Americans!
Don’t Black Americans need clean air? Don’t Black Americans need pure water?
Don’t Black Americans need an opportunity to achieve financial freedom?
There isn't a better opportunity out there for anyone, Asian, Hispanic,
Black or White. The people that run this company are men of integrity, who
respect all people, and the opportunity is there for you like it’s there for
anyone else.
Like EcoQuest’s mission of helping everyone, I also have a special task.
Some people work tradeshows, some people target salons, and I place my
emphasis on the black community. Why? It’s where I can really make a big
difference.
Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean I don’t talk to anyone that
breathes…far from it. 65% of my downline are white folks, but 100% of my
downline is hard-working people, dreaming new dreams, or recapturing lost
ones. Many large companies made it to the top without me, but I know I’m
going to be with EcoQuest all the way.
After seven months with EcoQuest I am a Future Coordinating Manager with two
all-expense paid trips under my belt, checks as high as $8,000 per month,
and have earned a $50,000 Lincoln Navigator. None of these things could have
been possible without my great upline. Thank you Mike Johnston, Ed Hutchins,
Darrell Atkins, A.J. Krause, Bill Perry and Bob Giddens.
And most importantly I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
and my family for allowing me to be apart from them while they worked at
home.
In closing I would like to say this business is not hard if you work smart.
Find out what your interests your prospect, regardless of race, religion,
gender, whatever. Whether it’s a luxury Bonus Car, a good income, time for
family, travel, whatever, simply ask one question: “Would you allow me to
help you?”
